Alison Ehmig

Alison Ehmig grew up in Southern California and established herself as a successful artist while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts and then a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Southern California.  As part of earning her Bachelor degree, she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris where she created Plein Air street scenes and took courses in art history and French.

Her paintings have won prestigious awards that include being published on the cover of Newport Beach, California, “Coast Magazine”, having her work displayed in the Los Angeles Annual Art Fair, and being featured as one of ten ”Gold Award Recipients” in Art of California Magazine. Her work can be found in corporate collections, including CALPERS, Firestone Winery and Annandale Country Club, as well as many private collections, including former Los Angeles mayor Richard Riordan and entrepreneur David Murdock.

In 2004 Alison moved from California to Washington State, where the forests, rivers and lakes provided new subject matter for her paintings. She recently relocated to Western Oregon, where she continues to create new pieces inspired by the surrounding landscapes. Her travels in California, Washington and Oregon serve as inspiration for both figurative and abstract compositions.

Alison enjoys flyfishing in her spare time, finding inspiration from her hobby to create unique paintings of brook, rainbow and golden trout.
